Pink Hijab Day today- Fighting Breast Cancer together
Oct 28th is Global Pink Hijab day. The day is intended to shatter stereotypes of Muslim women, and raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Muslims participate worldwide by wearing pink hijabs, ribbons, and caps and donating to fight cancer. There will be a table at Memorial Union from 10am to 3 pm with Baklava, henna tattoos, Breast Cancer information and we will be accepting donations for the Susan G. Komen foundation. On Wednesday night there will be a panel on activism and stereotypes of Muslim women at 7 pm in Mumford 133.
We hope to see a large group people, so please pass on this information to anyone you know that would be interested. If you would like a MSO member to come to a class or meeting and make the announcement, we can make arrangements. If you have any other suggestions or questions for the MSO, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your support,
