Letter from the President
Welcome Back!
Dear friends,
Assalam Alaikum/May Peace be upon you.
I hope this message finds you in the best of health and Iman(faith). I pray that the Almighty blesses us to have another beneficial semester here at Mizzou. On behalf of the Muslim Students' Organization, I'd like to welcome all of you to the spring semester. As we enter a new session, it is crucial for us to renew our intentions and strengthen our resolve to serve the Mizzou community to the best of our abilities. It was a practice and and injunction of our Beloved Prophet and Messenger (May the Peace and Blessing of God be upon him) to renew his intentions whenever he come at a crossroads.
I'm happy to report that MSO has a semester packed with lots of fun activities and events. During the first week of February, MSO along with other organizations will be hosting a Fundraising Dinner for East Africa. We are also planning on organizing a conference in Mid-April. Also, as part of a new initiative MSO members are invited to observe executive board meetings (to be held every other Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the MSO office).
We'd like to remind ourselves that whether its social or spiritual programming, our main goal is to promote a healthy understanding of our faith. If you feel that we have departed from this goal please don't hesitate to contact us. In closing, I ask you all to take advantage of the resources offered by MSO and actively participate in our many events. I look forward to seeing you all in the near future.
Warm regards,
Taha Hameduddin President, Muslim Students' Organization

Assalamu-alaikum, Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a wondrous break full of family, rest, food, and, well, more food. MizzouRec sounds like a pretty good idea right about now... Where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday when the first set of announcements were going out! Brothers and sisters, we're finally at the homestretch. The semester is winding down and we couldn't be happier with the level of involvement from our members and the complete runaway successes of every event we held. InshAllah we can finish the semester strong and keep a rolling start onto next semester!
