Great welcome dinner!

Thanks everyone for coming out to the welcome dinner! It was a great time and really exceeded our expectations. The food was a little less because we had prepared for up to 50 people but mashallah nearly 90 people showed up! We ordered more food so everything finally worked out alhumdullilah. In all my time at Mizzou, this was definitely the best welcome dinner I've personally seen.

I will put up pictures taken at the event (group photographs) when I get them from the Maneater photographer. In the meantime, make sure you sign up on the website and post on the forums. Its the best way to keep in touch when we can't see each other and hopefully create some sort of positive Islamic environment.

The next event is the fastathon coming up next week, Sept. 10th. Mark it on the calendar make sure to come. More details about the fastathon can be found from the events section.

MSO welcome iftar and updates

First MSO Meeting and Iftar Dinner!
The year's first general body meeting will be this Thursday. Check events section for more details. There will be a catered dinner, the meeting is open to all, so spread the word and bring your friends! The facebook event is here, so please RSVP so we can get an accurate count of attendees.

Girl's Iftar canceled
In lieu of the MSO Iftar on Thursday, the girls iftar originally planned for Wed is canceled.

Fastathon next week
The MSO's annual fastathon will be next Thursday September 10th at Memorial Union S304. More details will be coming up, but starting telling all your friends! We will be tabling this Friday (9/4) from 10-1 so if you'd like to help us get signatures then feel free to stop by.

Winter activities mart
The Winter Activities Mart will be next Wednesday (9/9) at Lowry Mall from 10-2. If you want to help table, then respond to this with the times you're available.

Automagnify pictures

I installed a new extension. If you upload an image and resize it, it automatically detects this and creates a "magnify" link in the bottom right corner of the image. Clicking on this links makes a lightbox popout with the full image. For e.g.
